TRS Training: Making the Apprenticeship Levy Work for Your Business
Employers with a wage bill of over £3m wage have to pay 0.5% of it into an account which they must use for Apprenticeships training. Since the introduction of this Apprenticeships Levy in April 2017, TRS Training has helped several large employers including Boohoo and Oakland Furniture successfully introduce and implement Apprenticeships in their organisation.
Here’s 5 reasons to choose TRS Training as your Apprenticeships partner
1. TRS Training is on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP)
This means we are approved by the Government to deliver Apprenticeships. Being on the register means we have gone through a formal application process with thorough checks carried out on both our organisation and our directors. The financial stability of our company has been reviewed and approved, as has our ability to deliver high quality Apprenticeships training
2. We can locate TRS trainers on site full time at employers’ premises
When we go into partnership with an employer to deliver Apprenticeships, we offer to locate one of our trainers onsite at the employer’s premises full time. This means that as well helping to shape and coordinate the programme of training, they are always on site to deal with any enquiries from the apprentices, as well as to support managers and other personnel involved in the Apprenticeship programme. They report back regularly on the progress of apprentices and ensure everyone is on target to achieve.
3. Niche focus and expertise
At TRS Training, we have many years’ experience delivering training and recruitment services for the Road Haulage, Logistics and Warehousing sectors. We have chosen to remain focussed on these sectors without diversifying and therefore diluting our expertise. This means that we have built up in-depth specialist knowledge which our clients benefit from. We keep ourselves informed to anticipate movements and changes in these industries, to inform modifications to our services to best support our employer clients.
4. Apprenticeship Experts
Introducing Apprenticeships into an organisation is often perceived as a daunting and demanding task by employers, with many reporting they don’t know where to start. We thoroughly understand the funding, operational and reporting responsibilities that the Government expects employers to meet. We support all our employers by clearly explaining their responsibilities relating to Apprenticeships funding. With the benefit of our experience, we can provide expert advice and support on best practice for Apprenticeships delivery and the pitfalls to avoid. This saves employers time and money, and helps them through the learning curve.
5. Professional Recruitment Service
Many businesses who use us for Apprenticeship training, also use our recruitment services. We have been supplying shop floor workers and drivers to the logistics and manufacturing sectors since 2005. This means we are extremely skilled at identifying apprentice candidates with the right aptitude and potential for development. In addition, our methods of targeting and recruiting are tried and tested – we will help you find the staff you need.
