TRS launches digital training portfolio

TRS has responded to the increased demand for remote learning by expanding its digital learning offer. Many of the courses are relevant to all industries and available entirely online. Training programmes are available throughout the year, delivered using a mix of online learning and tutor support.

Individuals can develop their skills thanks to a diverse range of courses from food safety to handling challenges in the workplace, and improving performance. Students are supported individually by tutors from TRS, who is a  Matrix Standard accredited training company. This award confirms TRS has a strong track record in assisting individuals to a high standard in their choice of career and learning.

Staff development

Kevin Birch, director at TRS Training, says:

“Digital learning is not new to TRS. The nature of sectors like logistics and manufacturing means that digital learning is a key component of the Apprenticeships services we offer businesses. In particular, digital learning solutions help minimise disruption to working patterns, so it is a methodology we are used to delivering, with great success.  We have now taken some of our most popular training modules and made them available as individual short courses.”

The training programmes start from just £65 and will meet the demands of a broad range of industry sectors.  The courses are suitable for employers as part of their staff development strategy, or individuals wishing to change careers or climb the ladder in their current place of employment.

Courses for all business sectors

Managers may be interested in the introductory course on coaching and mentoring or develop their skills in dealing with difficult people and customers.  Also, there are courses on equality, diversity and inclusion, and team-leading.

A raft of courses accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health is an option on TRS’s digital learning offer.  As an example, food safety professionals can complete training in aspects of hygiene and safety. And via a virtual classroom, employees and individuals will be able to acquire up to a Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

Virtual courses for logistics

For the logistics industry, a bespoke course helps exam candidates prepare for the LGV theory test. Drivers and porters can opt for a manual handling Level 2 certificate.

A suite of courses suitable to a range of different industries includes project management, risk assessment and team leading, as well as training in setting targets and achieving results. The one-day Six-Sigma principles course is already proving popular, with attendees gaining a certificate of attendance for this highly coveted business improvement technique.

Kevin adds:

“We are keen to stress these courses will be a quality experience.  Every business and student can expect the same high levels of success that we have been achieving with our Apprenticeships programmes for years.”

TRS can offer discounts for existing Apprenticeship clients and can negotiate discounts for multiple bookings. Individuals who are funding their own training can also book directly.
