Partnerships

TRS works with different partners across the logistics sector to provide businesses and individuals with to up to date information, advice and guidance on government funding and skills opportunities

Working in partnership across the logistics sector

TRS works closely with leading industry bodies to ensure we stay ahead of what’s happening in each sub-sector of logistics and transport. These strategic partnerships give us direct insight into industry trends, skills needs and recruitment challenges, allowing us to provide timely, impartial Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on behalf of our partners. Through this approach, we help businesses, members and individuals stay up to date with the latest government-funded initiatives, including apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, Sector-Based Work Academies and evolving funding and recruitment rules. Working together also enables us to respond rapidly to shared industry challenges, such as skills shortages and limited opportunities for school leavers, by co-developing solutions that strengthen workforce development across the UK logistics sector

RHA Skills

Official partnership with the Road Haulage Association

TRS is proud to be the official training partner for RHA Skills, a service delivered in partnership with the Road Haulage Association (RHA). Through this collaboration, we provide high-quality funded apprenticeships and other government-backed training designed for the road transport and logistics industry. RHA Skills offers free, impartial IAG on funding and training routes to help businesses attract, skill and retain drivers, managers and other key staff, using apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps and additional industry qualifications. Available to RHA members and non-members alike, the service acts as a one-stop shop for training and recruitment support, helping employers make the most of funding opportunities and tackle skills gaps.

The BAR Academy

Official partnership with the British Association of Removers

Through our partnership with the British Association of Removers (BAR), TRS delivers the BAR Academy, a dedicated programme providing funded apprenticeships and careers support tailored to the removals sector. The BAR Academy gives removals firms — members and non-members — access to structured apprenticeship pathways, free impartial IAG and support to set up government-funded training programmes like apprenticeships and Skills Bootcamps. Every apprenticeship includes a funded BAR-industry bolt-on course to enhance skills and career progression, helping businesses recruit and develop porters, drivers and future leaders with long-term workforce development in mind.

Other industry partnerships

In addition to these flagship partnerships, TRS works with a range of sector bodies to extend opportunities across the logistics industry:
