Logistics Leaders Network (LLN) has announced a new partnership with TRS to help its members benefit from government-funded recruitment, training and workforce development initiatives, including apprenticeships.

The partnership brings together two organisations committed to strengthening the logistics sector and supporting the people and businesses within it.

LLN is a leading UK professional network for leaders across logistics, supply chain, transport and warehousing. As LLN’s trusted skills specialist, TRS will keep members informed about relevant funding opportunities and provide clear, practical guidance on the programmes available. This will help businesses access support to recruit new talent, address skills shortages, develop their teams and improve staff retention.

With initiatives available nationally and regionally—and new opportunities introduced regularly—it can be difficult for employers to keep track. The partnership gives LLN members a direct link to an experienced training provider that understands both the funded skills landscape and the needs of logistics businesses.

A wide range of funded opportunities

TRS will share information and advice covering apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, Sector-based Work Academy Programmes and other government-backed recruitment and training initiatives.

This will include guidance on forthcoming funding incentives designed to encourage employers to recruit young people, helping LLN members understand new support as details emerge and identify opportunities to bring the next generation of talent into logistics.

The emphasis will be on helping businesses navigate the options and find the funded solutions most relevant to their workforce needs and objectives.

These could support employers to fill difficult vacancies, train HGV drivers, strengthen warehouse capabilities, develop future transport managers or help existing employees progress into leadership roles.

TRS offers logistics apprenticeships in areas including HGV and urban driving, traffic operations, warehousing, transport management, leadership and business improvement. Skills Bootcamps can provide focused training for specific skills needs, while Sector-based Work Academy Programmes can help employers recruit and prepare people for available roles.

An ideal partnership for logistics

Established in 2011, TRS has a long track record of helping logistics employers recruit, train and develop their people. Its team combines expertise in government-funded training with an understanding of the operational pressures facing transport, warehousing and supply chain businesses.

TRS was named Specialist Training Provider for 2026 and Transport and Logistics Apprenticeship Provider of the Year at the 2024 Apprenticeship and Training Awards.

LLN, founded by Peter Acton in 2010, brings together leaders and emerging talent from across logistics, transport, supply chain and warehousing. It enables members to build relationships, share knowledge and explore the issues shaping the sector’s future.
