HGV reverse practice at TRS Liverpool
At our Liverpool HGV driving school, we pride ourselves on careful instruction and support tailored to each learner. Sometimes HGV driving techniques can feel daunting at first. That’s normal. Our instructors take the time to explain every stage clearly, helping trainees feel reassured as they build their skills and confidence.

About our Liverpool HGV driving school
Our Liverpool HGV driving school at Deacon Park, Knowsley, is close to the M57 and M62. Learners train with instructors Carl, Jackie and Mick, using three Mercedes Actros articulated vehicles, one DAF rigid and one Volvo rigid.
The school has a generously sized practice and reversing area, classroom, candidate parking and modern facilities with seating and refreshments.
Our Liverpool driving school is also an approved DVSA test centre. Test day is Thursday and we have five test slots each week. So no long waits for tests!
Shops and cafés are nearby, while the nearest bus stop is a 10 to 15-minute walk away.
Commercial and funded training
We offer commercial HGV Driving courses for people who are paying for the course themselves or where their employer is paying.
If you are employed, it is worth exploring the apprenticeship routes available for gaining the Cat C or C+E licence. This means the training would be funded by the Government or through the Apprenticeship Levy.
We do occasionally have Skills Bootcamps in HGV driving available in the Liverpool City Region but this is not guaranteed. Please contact us to enquire about this. Skills Bootcamp places are subject to current funding and eligibility.
