What is the Kickstart Scheme?

Kickstart funding and eligibility

  • All recruits must be aged 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit
  • Job placements must be new positions
  • Job placements must be for at least 6 months, minimum 25 hours per week
  • Funding per recruit includes:
    • 100% of relevant national minimum wage for 25 hours per week
    • Associated employer NI contributions
    • Employer minimum automatic contributions
    • £1500 worth of support and training to develop recruits’ skills
